******************************************************

The Transport Department (TD) today (April 8) announced that eight TD online services on GovHK (www.gov.hk) would be temporarily suspended from 1am on April 12 (Tuesday) to 1pm on April 14 (Thursday) for computer system maintenance.

     These online services are:

(1) Appointment Booking Service for Vehicle Licence Renewal and Full Driving Licence Renewal (including its Interactive Voice Response System)
(2) Application for Renewal of Full Driving Licence
(3) Application for Renewal of Vehicle Licence
(4) Online Services for Traditional Vehicle Registration Marks
(5) Application for Certificate of Vehicle Particulars
(6) Online Booking for Driving Tests
(7) Online Services for Personalised Vehicle Registration Marks
(8) Change of Address Service (Transport Department)

"During the suspension of online services, applicants may submit applications via other existing channels, namely counter services at the department's four licensing offices, drop boxes located in the licensing offices or designated post offices, or by post," a TD spokesman said.

"The period of service suspension has been kept to the minimum to reduce the inconvenience caused to applicants.  Announcements on the service suspension have been posted on the entry page of the respective online services to inform applicants in advance of the arrangements so that they may consider alternative application channels."

For details of the suspension of the online services, please call the 1823 call centre or visit the department's website at www.td.gov.hk.
