Public forum for "Study on the Action Plan for the Bay Area of the Pearl River Estuary"

     The Planning Department will hold a public forum on April 9 to collect public views on the Study on the Action Plan for the Bay Area of the Pearl River Estuary.

     Details of the forum are as follows:

Date: April 9, 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 2.30pm - 5pm
Venue: Exhibition Hall, 4/F, Hong Kong Productivity Council Building, 78 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon
 
     Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Design of the University of Hong Kong, Professor Anthony Yeh, and Head of the Department of Geography of the University of Hong Kong, Dr James Wang, will share their views on what constitute "liveable bay area" from regional planning as well as traffic and transport planning perspectives.

     "More than 100 members of the public have signed up to join the forum. We welcome participation of anyone who is interested in this conceptual study," a spokesman for the Planning Department said.

     The forum will be conducted mainly in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Members of the public who are interested in joining the forum may visit the Study's website at www.prdbay.com or the Planning Department's website at www.pland.gov.hk for further details.
