Government welcomes final resolution for vast majority of Lehman Brothers Minibond holders

In response to media enquiries about some distributing banks' proposal relating to the final resolution of certain series of Lehman Brothers Minibonds, a Government spokesman said today (March 27):
"The Government is pleased with the high rate of recovery in the value of the Minibond collateral. We welcome the final resolution for the vast majority of the Minibond noteholders and the Ex-Gratia Payment as a gesture of goodwill by the distributing banks."
