The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, underwent an operation at Queen Mary Hospital on March 22. The operation went well. She is now recuperating.
Mrs Lau returned home today (March 25) to rest.
Mrs Lau's doctor advised that she would need to take plenty of rest after the operation. Taking into account the doctor's advice, she has extended her sick leave till April 10.
Mrs Lau expresses her gratitude to all who send their kind wishes and regards.
The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will continue to act as Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development during Mrs Lau's sick leave from March 21 to April 10.
