*******************************************************

The Town Planning Board (TPB) promulgated today (March 25) its revised Guidelines for Application for Kindergarten/ Child Care Centre in Kowloon Tong Garden Estate.

In view of the traffic congestion problems in the Kowloon Tong Garden Estate area, a new requirement is incorporated in the revised Guidelines. It sets out that any new application for kindergarten/child care centre use in the Kowloon Tong Garden Estate area has to be supported by a traffic impact assessment to examine possible traffic problems that may be caused by the proposed kindergarten/child care centre and to propose mitigation measures to tackle the problems, if required.
