Director's Collectanea on sale
******************************

The Director's Collectanea, published by the Hong Kong Observatory, is now on sale.

The Collectanea is a collection of blog messages written by the Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, Dr Lee Boon-ying, during the past year, in which he shares his thoughts and views on meteorology and other issues of interest.

Printed bilingually with full-colour illustrations, the Director's Collectanea would be a welcome addition to your bookshelf. As Dr Lee points out in the preface of the book: "We hope that the blogs serve to protect the public from nature's harm, through promoting a better understanding of natural disasters and climate change, and a heightened awareness of these events. This book is dedicated to all who put their thoughts into action and make our world a better one."

The book, at $54 a copy, is sold at the Hong Kong Observatory Resource Centre, the Publications Sales Unit of the Information Services Department, General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tuen Mun Central Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office. It is also available for sale online at the Government Bookstore at www.bookstore.gov.hk, details of which can be obtained through the telephone enquiry service of the Information Services Department on 2537 1910. Additionally, it will soon be available for sale at major bookstores in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Observatory Resource Centre is located at Units 2304-2309, 23/F Miramar Tower, 132 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon (telephone: 2926 8250).
