Woman charged with murder

Police today (March 23) laid a holding charge against a 34-year-old woman with one count of murder.
The woman was arrested in Tsing Yi yesterday (March 22). She was arrested in connection with the death of her six-month-old daughter who was found collapsed inside their residence at Shek Wah House, Shek Lei Estate, in Kwai Chung and later certified dead at Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday afternoon.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the baby girl had died of strangulation.
The woman will appear before Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (March 24).
