The Education Bureau today (March 10) announced the appointment of member to the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee (QEFIC).
Mr Jacob Tsang Chung has been reappointed to the QEFIC for another term of two years with effect from tomorrow (March 11). Mr Tsang is the Director of Group Treasury, Hong Kong Jockey Club and has served the Committee since March 2009.
The QEF was established in early 1998 with a capital of $5 billion to fund community initiatives which promote quality education in Hong Kong. The QEFIC was set up to formulate policies for and to monitor the investment of the Fund.
Since its establishment, the Fund has supported over 7,900 projects with a total grant amounting to $3.8 billion.
