Proposed vehicular access at Pui O San Wai Tsuen, Lantau Island gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (March 4) on the proposed construction of vehicular access at Pui O San Wai Tsuen, Lantau Island.

     The works serve to improve the existing village access at Pui O San Wai Tsuen, Lantau Island.  Some existing village access, sections of the existing footpaths and connecting points to the existing footbridges will be permanently or temporarily closed.  However, alternative access will be maintained during construction.

     The proposed works include construction of a single lane carriageway about 240 meters in length at Pui O San Wai Tsuen; construction of footpaths; and ancillary works including reprovisioning of the existing temporary refuse collection point and construction of retaining structures, drainage, landscaping and slope works.

     The plan and scheme of works are available for public inspection at the following Government offices during office hours:

      Mui Wo, Lantau Island

(iv) District Lands Office, Islands,
     19th Floor, Harbour Building,
     38 Pier Road,
     Central, Hong Kong

     Anyone who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before May 3.
