Hospital Authority responses on meeting of Hong Kong Public Doctors Association
************************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

In response to media enquiries about the meeting of Hong Kong Public Doctors Association (HKPDA) this evening (March 1), the Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson gave the following reply:

The HA noted the expanded council meeting of HKPDA this evening during which the discussions at the Special Doctors Staff Group Consultative Committee (DSGCC) Meeting yesterday (February 28) at HA Head Office with the presence of HKPDA and Frontline Doctors Union were reported back to members of HKPDA and other Doctors Associations.

The HA would like to thank frontline doctors again for their dedication and assure them that the management is well aware of and understand their concerns.

Their views expressed at the forum tonight, on internet websites, as well as the views expressed directly to HA Chairman Mr Anthony Wu and Chief Executive Dr Leung Pak-yin during the recent hospital visits will be consolidated into practicable measures to address their concerns while providing feasible solutions to imminent workload problems.

The proposed improvement measures will be discussed further at the next Special DSGCC Meeting to be held on March 18.
