Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this afternoon (February 16) in which a 65-year-old woman was killed.
About 5pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 35-year-old man was travelling along Tsuen Wan Market Street towards Chung On Street. When approaching outside 67-95 Tsuen Wan Market Street, the LGV reportedly hit the 65-year-old woman and her 30-year-old daughter who were crossing the road.
The women sustained head injuries and were rushed to Yan Chai Hospital. The 65-year-old woman was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where she was certified dead at 8.54pm.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
