Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Wan Chai this morning (February 14) in which an 88-year-old woman died.
At 11.21am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along northbound Luard Road. When approaching the junction with Hennessy Road, the 88-year-old woman was found trapped under the MGV.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in semi-conscious state and was certified dead at 1.04pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are under way.
