Temporary traffic and transport arrangements in Tuen Mun this Sunday

     The Transport Department (TD) today (February 10) reminded the public that temporary traffic and transport arrangements would be implemented from 1am to 5.30am this Sunday (February 13) in Tuen Mun to facilitate construction works for the temporary Yan Oi Bridge project on Tuen Mun Road (town centre section).

     The arrangements mainly include:

* ¡@The section of Tuen Mun Road northbound between Tuen Hi Road and Yuk Hong Street, and the section of Tuen Mun Road southbound between Tsing Tin Interchange and Tuen Fat Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

* During the road closure period, motorists are advised to travel via the following roads:

(i) For journeys to Tsuen Wan, motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound are advised to travel via Tsing Tin Interchange, Tsing Tin Road, Tsun Wen Road, Pui To Road, Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road, Tuen Hing Road and then rejoin Tuen Mun Road southbound.

(ii) For journeys to Yuen Long, motorists on Tuen Mun Road northbound are advised to travel via Wong Chu Road, Tsing Wun Road, Ming Kum Road, Tsing Tin Road, Tsing Tin Interchange and then rejoin Tuen Mun Road northbound.

* During road closure period, the following public transport services will be diverted:

(i)   KMB routes: 58M, 58X, 63X, 68A, 260X, 960 and N260;
(ii)  Long Win bus route: N30; and
(iii) GMB routes: 44 and 606S

     Notices will be put up at respective stops and inside vehicle compartments to inform passengers of the temporary diversions.

     The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures as necessary. Motorists and the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news broadcasts via radio and television channels.
