Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom on January 29 in which an 80-year-old man died.
About 2.20pm on that day, a taxi driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along northbound Fat Kwong Street. When approaching the junction with Sheung Lok Street, it reportedly hit the 80-year-old man who was crossing the road.
The 80-year-old man sustained severe head injury and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.24am yesterday (February 8).
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5200.
