Fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this afternoon (February 7) in which a 41-year-old driver was killed.

     About 2.15pm, a coach driven by the 41-year-old man was travelling along Tuen Mun Road towards Kowloon. When approaching outside Yau Kom Tau Village, the coach reportedly rammed the water barriers and crashed a roadwork site.

     The driver sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Yan Chai Hospital in unconscious state, where he was later certified dead at 3.47pm. Seven male passengers, aged between 38 and 50, were also slightly injured and sent to Yan Chai Hospital for medical treatment.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South, are underway.
