Special traffic measures in Tsuen Wan
*************************************

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate worshippers visiting Yuen Yuen Institute in Tsuen Wan for the event of Patron Gods of the Year.

"Police will continue to take strict enforcement actions against illegal parking. During the Lunar New Year period, any illegally parked vehicles will be towed away without prior notice," a police spokesperson said.

(A) Road closure (between 8am and 6pm on February 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20)

Depending on the traffic conditions in the area and the parking condition of private vehicles inside Yuen Yuen Institute, Police may consider implementing special traffic arrangement to restrict the use of the section of Lo Wai Road between Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus (outside Chuen Yiu Terrace) and Yuen Yuen Institute by private vehicles. Under the implementation of such arrangement, all private vehicles except those of residents at Lo Wai are required to carry out boarding and alighting at Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus without prolonged stopping.

(B) Suspension of parking spaces (between 8am and 6pm on February 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20)

All metered parking spaces outside Yuen Yuen Institute and near Lo Wai Old Bus Terminus (outside Chuen Yiu Terrace) will be suspended.

(C) A special zone for coaches to pick up and drop off passengers will be set up at the suspended metre parking spaces outside the Institute.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists and Police officers will be in the area to facilitate and coordinate traffic flow during the implementation period of the special traffic arrangements. Motorists are advised to follow Police's instructions and to drive with utmost care and patience.
