Red flags lowered at three beaches in Islands District

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said today (February 1) that the red flags at Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in Islands District have been lowered. The red flags were hoisted at the three beaches after sightings of oil spills on January 26.
During the winter (November 2010 to March 2011), lifeguard services at the above three beaches are suspended. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at these beaches.
