A spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau said: "Following the completion of the second stage public consultation on healthcare reform on January 7, we are collating and analysing the views collected. The Government will carefully consider how to address the views received from members of the public and different organisations. Continued steer and support from the HMDAC is essential to map out the way forward for the reform.

"Given the important role of HMDAC in setting strategic direction for development and financing of health and medical services in Hong Kong, we would like to invite more professionals and representatives from different sectors so as to broaden the advisory base of the committee for the service reform implementation."
