Oil spills sighted at three LCSD beaches

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says today (January 26) that because of oil spills, red flags have been hoisted at Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach and Tong Fuk Beach in Islands District. These three beaches will be temporarily closed until further notice.
During the winter (November, 2010 to March, 2011), lifeguard services at the above three beaches will also be suspended. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beaches.
