The "Hong Kong Guide" 2011 edition, produced by the Survey and Mapping Office (SMO), Lands Department, is on sale now.
This 2011 edition features Hong Kong's many public parks, highlighting their unique features and design concepts and providing information on their various facilities, memorials, galleries and scenic views.
This single volume publication contains 432 pages of quality maps and valuable information, including indexes of "streets", "places and villages", "estates and buildings", "schools", "public services", "leisure and cultural facilities" and comprehensive details about public transportation. The "streets" and "places and villages" indexes can serve as gazetteers for official Chinese and English names of streets and other geographical places in Hong Kong.
The Guide also contains oblique aerial photographs showing newly built skyscrapers as well as the latest developments in Hong Kong.
The "Hong Kong Guide" 2011 edition is priced at HK$100. It is available for sale at all SMO sales outlets, six post offices (General Post Office, Kowloon Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong and Tuen Mun Central), certain local bookstores and the Online Government Bookstore (www.bookstore.gov.hk).
