The Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macao governments today (January 14) concurrently launched the public consultation for the Study on Action Plan for the Bay Area of the Pearl River Estuary.
The Study, which commenced in April 2010, aims to formulate actions to enhance liveability and development of the Bay Area as the focal point of a "quality living area" in the Greater Pearl River Delta region and a "pioneer area" for the transformation of the mode of economic development of the region.
The public consultation, which will last till February 10, 2011, seeks public views from the three places on these proposals.
Hong Kong's Planning Department will hold a public forum on January 29, 2011. Members of the public are welcome to visit the Study's website at www.prdbay.com or the Planning Department's website at www.pland.gov.hk for details.
