Appeal for Type A and O Blood Donations

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
In view of the recent persistent cold weather, the number of blood donations has dropped sharply whilst hospitals' demand for blood has increased noticeably. The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) needs some 1,000 type A and O blood donations every day to ensure an adequate supply.
Every minute counts in saving lives and many patients are waiting for blood type A and O. Please act now!
