Suspected homicide case in Western District

     Police are investigating a suspected homicide case in Western District this evening (January 7) in which a 46-year-old man died.

     About 7.05pm, Police received reports that a man was found falling from height outside 419G Queen's Road West. Police officers sped to the scene and located the body of the man and his limbs at the ground floor and the platform of 419G Queen's Road West respectively. He was subsequently certified dead at scene.

     Police's investigation revealed that bloodstains were found in various spots inside a flat on 419G Queen's Road West where a chopper and a cutter were seized.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the deceased's cause of death.

     Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island are underway.
