Road Safety Council publicity car to remind people not to drink and drive (with photos)
**********************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Road Safety Council:

As part of the campaign to heighten public awareness of anti-drink driving during Christmas time, the Road Safety Council distributed publicity leaflets and souvenirs to visitors in Lan Kwai Fong today (December 17).

In addition, using the "heroic" road safety ambassador "Road Safety Guard" as a figurehead, the Council has designed an Anti-drink driving Publicity Car to broadcast the message "If you drink, don't drive" throughout the territory from December 17 to 23.

The Chairman of the Road Safety Campaign Committee, Mr Lawrence Yu, said, "The Anti-drink driving Publicity Car is a more targeted means to promote road safety messages to drivers and passengers. It can also better arouse their awareness of drink driving."

Members of the public can visit www.roadsafetyguard.com.hk to learn more about the tour of the Anti-drink driving Publicity Car.
