Fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Mong Kok this afternoon (December 13) in which a 77-year-old man was killed.

     About 4.20pm, a public light bus driven by a 24-year-old man was travelling along southbound Tung Choi Street. When approaching near Argyle Street, it reportedly knocked down the 77-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     The man sustained head injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.10pm.

     Investigations will be conducted by Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West.

      Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5200.
