The Government today (November 5) announced in the Gazette that the Chief Executive in Council had authorised the scheme for the proposed vehicular bridge from Shui Lau Tin Tsuen to Shek Kong Airfield Road, Yuen Long.
The general nature of the proposed work is as follows:
(i) provision of a two-lane vehicular bridge with an associated footpath of about 2 metres wide across Shek Kong Nullah;
(ii) temporary closure and reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths; and
(iii) ancillary works including drainage and landscaping works.
Notice for authorisation of the works will be put up at prominent positions near the site of the proposed works area.
