Appointments to Estate Agents Authority

     The Government announced today (October 29) that the Chief Executive has appointed/re-appointed the following individuals to the Estate Agents Authority (EAA) for a period of two years with effect from November 1, 2010:

     Chairman
     Ms Vivien Chan (re-appointment)

     Vice-Chairman
     Mr William Leung

     Persons in Category A (the estate agency sector)
     Mr Chan Chiu-kwok
     Mr Anthony Kwok (re-appointment)
     Mr Lau Chun-kong
     Ms Serena Lau(re-appointment)
     Mr Lee King-leung (re-appointment)

     Persons in Category B (related fields)
     Ms Katherine Hung (re-appointment)
     Miss Connie Lau (re-appointment)
     Mr Alexander Lui(re-appointment)
     Mr Ma Ho-fai (re-appointment)

     Persons in Category C (others)
     Ms Cynthia Chung
     Mr Kevin Lam
     Dr Joseph Lee (re-appointment)
     Mr Kenneth Leung
     Mr Liu Che-ning
     Ms Elaine Liu (re-appointment)
     Mr Ng King-wah (re-appointment)
     Miss Melissa Wu
     Permanent Secretary for Transport and
     Housing (Housing) or his representative

     "We are grateful to the retiring Vice-chairman Mrs Amy Liu Tam for her significant contribution to the work of the EAA, in particular the enhancement of the service standard of the estate agency trade.  We also wish to acknowledge the work of the other retiring members and thank them for their invaluable advice and support," a spokesman for the Transport and Housing Bureau said.  

     The EAA is a statutory body established in 1997 under the Estate Agents Ordinance (Cap 511) with a view to enhancing the standard of service of estate agents and the protection of buyers and sellers of property.
