Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 78-year-old woman was killed in Yau Ma Tei on October 17.
At about 4pm on October 16, a public light bus driven by a 34-year-old man was travelling along Shanghai Street southbound. While turning left into Pak Hoi Street, the public light bus reportedly hit the woman who was crossing the road.
The woman, who sustained head injuries, was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital where she was later certified dead at 00.32am on October 17.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving and was released on bail pending further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are proceeding.
