Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung District reopened

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 25) that the maintenance work of the shark prevention net at Silverstrand Beach in Sai Kung District was completed today. The beach has been reopened. However, due to big waves, the red flag is still hoisted at the beach. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
The beach was temporarily closed on October 22 for the maintenance work of the shark prevention net.
