The Hong Kong campus of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is the first project to be completed under the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme, an initiative announced in the Policy Address in 2007. Significant features such as the original flooring, furniture, paint colours and other finishes were conserved and restored. Mr Tsang toured the preserved jail cells, some of which have been transformed as the back offices of SCAD. Accompanying him is Mrs Carrie Lam, Secretary for Development (left) and Mr Bob Dickensheets, Director of Construction and Preservation, SCAD Hong Kong (second left).
