Regarding recent speculative reports on the appointment of the Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority (HA), the spokesman for the HA issued the following statement today (October 21):
The process regarding the appointment of the new Chief Executive of the HA is still on-going. The selection panel will make a recommendation to the HA Board for endorsement when it finishes its deliberations and approval from the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will then be sought. An official announcement will be made once the process is completed.
