Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsing Yi early this morning (October 21) in which a 28-year-old man was killed.
About 1.30am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 28-year-old man was travelling along Tsing Yi Road towards south. When approaching 100 Tsing Yi Road, the LGV reportedly rammed into the trailer of a container truck which was parked on the roadside.
The LGV driver was once trapped and sustained serious injuries. He was later rescued and retrieved by firemen from the vehicle but was certified dead at the scene.
Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
