The Lands Department today (October 20) announced that the tender for a site at the junction of On Yiu Street, On Kwan Street and On Lai Street, Shek Mun, Sha Tin, New Territories, Sha Tin Town Lot No.433, had been awarded to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited on a 50-year land grant at a premium of $816 million.
"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the site to the highest tenderer," a government spokesman said.
The other tenderers in alphabetical order were:
(1) Cheer Asia Development Limited
(2) Clear Rise Investments Limited
(3) Gain Channel Limited
(4) Hanforth Limited
(5) Market Elite Investments Limited
(6) NMC 6 Limited
The site has an area of about 8,533 square metres and is designated for non-residential purposes (excluding hotel, petrol filling station and residential care home). The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 25,599 square metres and 42,665 square metres respectively.
