The Legislative Council (LegCo) concluded successfully its first exhibition last Friday (October 15). The five-day event has attracted a total of over 20,000 visitors. The President of the LegCo, Hon Jasper Tsang, said that this was the first stop of the exhibition on LegCo and there would be more of this kind of exhibitions to be held in different locations around the territory in future. He hoped that more members of the public would participate in these exhibitions.
Ten LegCo Members have participated in the exhibition. Among them, eight have attended the opening ceremony held on the first day of the exhibition (October 11), including Mr Tsang, the Chairman of House Committee, Hon Miriam Lau, the Deputy Chairman of House Committee, Hon Fred Li, Ir Dr Hon Raymond Ho, Hon Li Fung-ying, Hon Wong Kwok-hing, Hon Paul Chan, and Hon Wong Yuk-man. During the exhibition period, Hon Audrey Eu, Hon Wong Kwok-hing and Dr Hon Priscilla Leung stationed at the exhibition venue to introduce the exhibits to members of the public and took photos with them.
During the exhibition, exhibition panels featuring the work of LegCo, Members and Secretariat were displayed. A video introducing the work of LegCo and a 3D model of the new LegCo Complex were incorporated as part of the exhibits. Moreover, a photo corner was set up for individual Members to meet the public and take photos with them. Interactive computer games on LegCo were also provided.
