The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has ordered a restaurant in Yuen Long to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.
The restaurant is located at Shop No 6, ground floor, Phase 1, Hing Fook Building, 19 Ping Wui Street.
The 14-day suspension will take place from today (October 15) to October 28.
"In June this year, there were two convictions for illegal extension of food business on the said food premises. A total fine of $9,000 was levied and 30 points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension," a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department spokesman said.
He reminded licensees of food premises to comply strictly with the Food Business Regulation, otherwise their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
