To arouse public interest in horticulture and to enhance awareness of greening, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will organise a horticultural education exhibition, "The World of Flowers", on October 30 (Saturday) and 31 (Sunday) from 10am to 4pm at the Arcade of Kowloon Park. Admission is free.
Descriptive display panels will enable members of the public to learn more about the factors affecting the colour of flowers and blooming, the functions and structure of flowers, and the use of flowers in daily life. The panels will also have tips on home decoration with flowering plants.
Fringe activities including games stalls and eco-friendly horticulture workshops will be held during the exhibition at the Kowloon Park Arcade. Visitors can also share the fun of pot planting under the guidance of horticulture instructors.
