Officers of the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) today (October 8) arrested 12 more persons, aged 17 to 54, for conspiracy to defraud in an operation against suspected false loan application relating to Non-means-Tested Loan Scheme (NLS) involving two private education centres in Yau Ma Tei.
In addition to the 20 persons arrested yesterday (October 7), Police have further arrested today six male students, aged 17 to 32, and two female students aged 19 and 46. Three men aged 26 to 54 and a 26-year-old woman, who were agents referring students to the education centres, were also arrested.
Some of the 32 persons arrested have been released on police bail pending further investigation
The case is still under investigation.
