The Town Planning Board today (September 30) announced the publication of the Draft Hoi Ha Development Permission Area (DPA) Plan.

The area, covering about 8.76 hectares, is located at the northern coast of Sai Kung peninsula. It is encircled by the Sai Kung West Country Park on three sides and fronts onto the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park.

A spokesman for the Town Planning Board said the general planning intention is to protect its high landscape value which complements the overall naturalness and the landscape beauty of the surrounding Sai Kung West Country Park and the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park.

The entire area is designated "Unspecified Use", pending detailed analysis and studies to establish the appropriate land uses in the course of preparing an Outline Zoning Plan.

The draft Hoi Ha DPA Plan is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office, the Tai Po District Office and the Tai Po Rural Committee.

Any person may make representations in respect of the draft plan to the Secretary of the Board on or before November 30.

Copies of the draft plans are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
