Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun on September 23 in which a 79-year-old woman was killed.
At 9.34am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 46-year-old man was travelling along Ho Pong Street towards Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road. When making a right turn to Tsing Yin Street, the LGV reportedly knocked down the 79-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital, where she was certified dead at 5.18pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territory North are under way.
