The Government today (September 28) announced the setting up of the Cantonese Opera Development Fund (CODF) Investment Committee (IC) under the CODF Advisory Committee to advise on matters relating to the investment of the CODF. The term of appointments is from October 1, 2010, to September 30, 2012. The membership list is as follows:

The Cantonese Opera Development Fund, set up in 2005, aims to raise funds to support Cantonese opera preservation, research and promotion projects and activities. On June 18, 2010, the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved a proposal to inject $69 million into the CODF to continue supporting projects and activities on the preservation, promotion and development of Cantonese opera.
