Police are investigating a murder and suicide case in which a 66-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man died in Tseung Kwan O this afternoon (September 27).
About 4.20pm, Police received a report that a 66-year-old woman fell from height at Yan Lam House in Tsui Lam Estate. Police sped to the scene and found the woman outside Yan Lam House. She was certified dead at scene by ambulancemen.
Police conducted investigations at scene and found the husband of the woman lying unconscious on the bed inside their flat. The 76-year-old man, with no superficial injury, was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.19pm.
Initial investigations revealed that the woman committed suicide after killing her husband.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of their deaths.
Active investigations by District Crime Squad, Kwun Tong are underway.
