New District Officer for Islands assumes office (with photo)

Mr Danny Lau Kam-chuen will assume the post of District Officer (Islands) tomorrow (September 6), succeeding Mr Byron Lam.
Mr Lau joined the Government in 1978. He has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former Housing Department, the former Trade and Industry Department, the former Economic Services Bureau, the former Economic Development and Labour Bureau, and the former Housing, Planning and Lands Bureau.
His last posting was as Principal Assistant Secretary for Home Affairs.
