The Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service (the Committee) of the Social Welfare Department announced today (August 30) that the revamped Volunteer Movement Website ( www.volunteering-hk.org ) had come into operation.
The new Volunteer Movement Web not only has a fresh and modern look, but also some new functions such as on-line registration for individuals, online search for volunteer service opportunities, online registration as Volunteer Movement Participating Organisations, uploading of information on service opportunities to recruit volunteers and submission of annual volunteer service records.
In addition, members of the public can make use of the Sharing Corner to share and exchange views on volunteer services. Users can also make use of the newly created e-cards with attractive animation to express their care by sending it to their friends and family members.
To enable the public to know more about the revamped Volunteer Movement Web, the Committee has launched the 2010 Volunteer Movement e-card Design Competition. Winners can have their award-winning e-cards uploaded to the Volunteer Movement Web for public use.
