The Government today (August 27) announced that the Chief Executive had appointed Ms Alice Kwok Yim-ming as a new member to the Broadcasting Authority for a term of two years from September 1.
Ms Kwok has extensive experience in the media industry and has worked for a wide range of media organisations including radio, TV and the print media.
Welcoming the new appointment, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau, said she was confident that Ms Kwok's rich experience and exposure would be valuable to the Broadcasting Authority.
Mrs Lau expressed gratitude to the outgoing member, Mrs Yvonne Siu Sun Yuk-bui, for her devotion and significant contributions to the Broadcasting Authority over the past six years.
With effect from September 1, the membership of the Broadcasting Authority is as follows:
