The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will depart for Venice, Italy on August 25 night.
While in Venice, Mr Tang will call on the leaders of the Veneto Region Government. He will also officiate at the opening of the Hong Kong Exhibition at the 12th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition, which features the three conceptual plans of the West Kowloon Cultural District, and speak at the West Kowloon Cultural District forum.
On August 29, Mr Tang will visit Zurich, Switzerland to discuss potential co-operation with the arts and cultural sector there.
Mr Tang will then proceed on leave from August 30 . He will be back to Hong Kong on September 4. During his absence, the Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, will be acting Chief Secretary for Administration.
