The Land Registry will launch a new search system tomorrow (August 21) to provide improved public search services to customers.
The new system is built with enhanced technical design to ensure stability in the delivery of search services to customers via the Internet, search service counters and self-service search terminals at the Land Registry's Customer Centre on the 19th floor of Queensway Government Offices and the three New Territories Search Offices in Tai Po, Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long.
The existing Integrated Registration Information System (IRIS) Online Services will be migrated to operate on the new system, and its operation hours will be extended from 16 hours to 20 hours daily (including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays), running from 7.30am to 3.30am the next day, with order cut-off time at 2.30am.
The transition to the new system will be effected without any interruption to the Land Registry's services.
Customers can continue to access the IRIS Online Services on the new system via the same website (www.iris.gov.hk). Subscribers can use their existing log-in IDs to conduct online searches.
All search screens, functions, delivery methods for search orders and online payment options will remain the same.
A helpdesk service will be provided round-the-clock.
Enquiries may be directed to the Land Registry's Customer Service Manager by phone at 3105 0000 or email at csa@landreg.gov.hk.
