A spokesman for the Home Affairs Bureau said that a total of 29 eligible candidates had been nominated for the 10 arts interests in the current nomination exercise for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC). Electioneering will start today (August 20).
This year, one candidate in the arts interest of "drama" is running uncontested while no nomination was received for the arts interest of "arts criticism". Therefore, no polling will be conducted for these two arts interests. Nominations for the other eight arts interests (arts administration, arts education, dance, film arts, literary arts, music, visual arts and Chinese opera (Xiqu)) will be determined by polling. Candidates for the respective arts interests are as follows.
