The overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) caseload in July showed a slight increase of 112 cases over June, representing an insignificant increase of 0.04%, according to the latest CSSA caseload statistics released by the Social Welfare Department today (August 18).
Total CSSA caseload at the end of July stood at 285,969 (see attached table), with a total of 478,676 recipients.
Analysed by case nature, unemployment cases registered a month-to-month decrease of 0.6% to 31,379 cases.
Low-earning cases also showed a decrease of 0.9% to 14,887 cases while old-age cases increased by 0.2% to 153,277.
Permanent disability cases registered a month-to month increase of 0.3% to 18,269 cases.
