Two Lots in Kowloon sold for $ 7.61 billion

    The Lands Department this afternoon (August 17) held the fifth land auction of the 2010-2011 financial year. Two government lots in Kowloon were sold for $7.61 billion.

     The first lot, Kowloon Inland Lot No.11125 at Ex-Civil Aid Service Training Centre, 204 Argyle Street, Kowloon, was sold to Bradford Investments Limited at $4.1 billion.  The opening bid was $2.857 billion. Kowloon Inland Lot No.11125 has a site area of about 7,326 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes. A minimum gross floor area of 21,978 square metres must be completed. The maximum gross floor area is 36,630 square metres.

     The second lot, Kowloon Inland Lot No.11120 at Hung Hom Bay Reclamation Site D1, at the junction of Oi King Street and Hung Luen Road, Kowloon, was sold to New Harbour Investments Limited at $3.51 billion. The opening bid was $1.77 billion. Kowloon Inland Lot No.11120 has a site area of about 7,551 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station) purposes. A minimum gross floor area of 20,387 square metres must be completed. The maximum gross floor area is 33,979 square metres.

     The auction was conducted at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Wan Chai, by the Deputy Director of Lands, Mr Graham Ross, who was assisted by the Assistant Director, Mr Jeff Lam.
