The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (August 13) on the Stage 2 Kai Tak North Apron Area infrastructure works under the Kai Tak Development to provide infrastructure works to serve the proposed residential development, government, institution or community facilities in the North Apron Area of Kai Tak Airport.
The proposed works include construction of Roads D2 (part), L4 (part) and L5 totalling approximately 590 metres in length and footpaths approximately two kilometres long; and ancillary works including drainage, water, utility and landscaping works. Some sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths will be temporarily or permanently closed and demolished.
The works will start in October 2011 and are expected to complete in December 2014.
The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours: -
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Kowloon City District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Room 1707, 17th Floor, One Harbourfront, 18-22 Tak Fung Street, Hung Hom;
(iii) Kwun Tong District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Lower Ground Floor, Kwun Tong District Branch Offices Building, 6 Tung Yan Street, Kwun Tong;
(iv) Wong Tai Sin District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 201, 2nd Floor, Lung Cheung Office Block, 138 Lung Cheung Road, Wong Tai Sin; and
(v) District Lands Office, Kowloon East, 10th Floor, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street.
Anyone who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before October 12.
